Santa Rita do Sapucaí - City Branding

The Eiffel Tower Principle

When you think of France, the first thing that comes to mind is the Eiffel Tower, right?
That one piece of infrastructure was so iconic that it became the strongest symbol and ambassador of French culture.
Well, this small town in the heart of the state of Minas Gerais has already proved that it’s Eiffel Tower is it’s pulsating core of creativity and entrepreneurship.

Welcome to Santa Rita do Sapucaí.

The only goal of a city is the happiness of it’s people

Santa Rita do Sapucaí is located in one of the most naturally beautiful regions of Brazil, and is also a melting pot of brilliant and innovative minds with a rich history that includes: FIFA World Cup champions, former presidents, important business people, visionary women, artists, writers, and even serial killers!

But the crown jewel, or the “Eiffel Tower” of the city is it’s popular movement “Creative City, Happy City”.  The movement culminates in a yearly festival  made of hundreds of collaborative events focused on creative economy and happiness. Its the movement that allows for such special people to spark from this tiny community, so it deserves to be the face of the city!

An abstract representation of the city

The logo is a composition of 3 organic strokes arranged in a circle, exploding from the center outwards. It is an abstract symbol that could resemble fireworks, or the fruit of the Sapucaia tree, maybe also a coffee flower, or people holding hands in a circular community shape.

Whatever your interpretation is, the logo carries the many faces of this city!
